Came back home right after my appointment at Joyce Lim. Was suppose to go to the temple as it was Lunar Day 15, but the weather wasn't kind and started raining, so I was forced to go home instead. I was chatting with nemo, teelee, cfred and roentgen online. roentgen was holed up in a corner of borders working and chatting with us while standing by for his NDP rehearsal. As everyone was at home without much to do, and roentgen starting to get hungry, i jioed everyone for dinner. Roentgen and nemo (whom i was having a room chat with) were game for dinner and so i jioed cfred and teelee to join us. After a long discussion about where to have dinner, I suggested The Village at China Square Central. We quickly changed and was out of the house in 10 minutes with teelee kindly coming to pick me and nemo up. We then headed to AMK to pick up Andy. yippee! get to see our famous "David Gan" haha Had a good time yakking away in The Village. Food wasn't spectacular and they charged an arm and a leg for the food (one slice of water melon for $1.60 and a mango at $6!!!). Roentgen and I couldn't comprehend the exorbitant prices and refused to pay such hefty prices for the fruits, so we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. After some discussions, we decided to walk to Lau Pa Sat for our dessert. cfred had to leave earlier to join his friend for some World Cup watching while the rest walked to LPS for dessert. After filling our tummy with yummy dessert, we headed home in teelee's van.
What a great way to end an otherwise boring Sat nite. All thanks to the good coordination using MSN, and the "ever-readiness to be mobiilised in the shortest time possible" of the gang. *thumbs up* Too bad Junie couldn't join us for the dinner, but well, there will always be many more such chances :)

"Snow White" Run
"Snow White" Run - 10 June 2006
My first run after a one month break from running due to the shin splints and then flu bug. Told nemo on Friday that I wanted to do a short run to test run my legs the following day, and nemo gallantly offered to run with me. He suggested running with Shut for the first 5km and then joined me for my run. I was elated to have some company for my short run and gladly accepted the offer. Nemo, being the well-coordinated guy, started jio-ing the rest of the HSP folks for the run. Soon, I knew teelee and sv would be joining in the run.
Woke up on Saturday morning feeling good and started a very slow run from my place to Ponggol park. Wow, the one month break really set me back a lot and I was feeling very breathless shortly into my very slow run. My HR was hitting 88% in no time and I was panting. So i had to force myself to take it even slower so that I wouldn't be out of breath even before meeting nemo. Finally reached Ponggol park 25 minutes later and waited for nemo, shut and teelee to turn up. teelee appeared first. He wanted to do a 3km short run that day to make up his 60km mileage for the week. Saturday was in fact his rest day but he decided to just come for this short easy run. 20 minutes later i saw a gang of guys turning into the Ponggol park! wow! It wasn't just shut and nemo but also fbb, sv and taz! I felt so happy to have one big group of hunks accompanying me for the run. They had ran to Tampines and back, with the run being led by taz. We chit chatted for a while and pushed off for my run, with the guys insisting i lead the run as the run was to accompany me! I was helpless but decided to lead the run nonetheless since these guys were so wonderful in keeping me company and lending me strength! I started the slow jog with the guys behind me and nemo keeping me company. We managed a 4+km around the area (i refused to run within the ponggol park haha) and ended back at Ponggol park for our breakfast at the KPT. We chatted and ate and after a few photos, a few of us (taz, nemo, shut, fbb and I) walked home. Felt good today! Thanks to you guys for gallantly agreeing to keep me company for my return run!
Why snow white ? becoz I was telling roentgen that I feel so much better than snow white as she has to be contented with 7 dwarfs while i have 6 hunks! hehe ;P Start of my good run, after a one month break. And many more good runs ahead! *thumbs up*
