Slack

Nope, didn't run last weekend. Not even a short one. Yes. Slack. Super Slack. Basically just binge and grow FATTER. What's new right ?

Anyway, went for mrn spin. Normally go for the lunchtime spin but gym is undergoing some maintenance work since last week and the number of shower cubicles in the ladies were reduced to only 2 miserable ones. Can imagine the long queue during peak hours!!! In order not to suffer the frustration, decided to just spin in the mrn (crowd isn't so bad in the mrns).

There were only 2 of us when the class started!!! So the instructor got us to move our bikes so that we face the mirror, and we can see and correct our posture while we spin. Wah! First time seeing my own reflection as I spin. Really disgusted with the image looking back at me. Stocky tree trunk thighs ... bulky arms ... FAT FAT FAT ... URGHHHH!

Nonetheless, very nice spin. I always like a change to routine so this little change in spin class helps keep things fresh though the tracks are nothing new. With the instructor spinning beside me, I was better able to keep pace with him. Just need to focus on one of his legs and follow accordingly. Left right left right left right. Almost like marching. Good. I like.

Ok, time to slack again.

Let's hope i can force myself to go out for a short run tmr mrn. Target : 4km. Yes, I'll be good and not up my mileage after the siesta. :)

Test Run

After a break of a long 37 days from running (ever since the Wedding Run on National Day), with only 2 treadmill runs, I finally pulled myself together to force myself to go for a run on Sat mrn.

Didn't want to do a long one not knowing how my legs are feeling, so decided to just do the usual route to Upper Thomson and back. Started with a faster than usual pace, I bet the long rest did a lot of good to my legs. It didn't feel so heavy and sluggish, there was a little spring in the legs. Cool. But I got tired quickly possibly from the pace and also the long break. Decided to change course 20+mins into the run and ran to Lower Seletar Reservoir Park instead.

Was a simple run, didn't want to explore any new routes. Just wanted to be out and testing my legs.

Finished the run in
1hr 50mins. Total distance about 16km. Slow, but I'm not complaining.

Reminder to self : Stretch, stretch & more stretching

Drinking Problem

My new problem ... that comes in a package.

What it claims to do ...

Thanks to one kind soul who bought this for me ...

I appreciate the kind gesture. Really. :)

I'm so looking forward to drinking from it. Its something that I can use everyday at work, something that will help to lift my spirits, warm my heart & brings a smile to my face each time i bring my lips to the mug.
