Over the weekend my mom was telling me about a 4-yr-old Sg girl who is diagnosed with cancer and many Singaporeans have step forward with donations to help her.
Mentioned to J and he was sceptical. I know that he was trying to be careful, that though we ought to show compassion, we must not be frivolous in our donations. Especially when I only learn about it from a blog post! Ok, granted. So I googled and true enough found this article from The Electric New Paper.
Whilst I whined, bitched and grumbled ever so often about the little nuances in my life, there are much bigger (dare i say of a meterological scale compared to mine) challenges that people are facing. Now with the economic crisis, with rising unemployment, lowering pay while increasing costs and the struggle and pain that Cynthia & little Charmaine face, we sure are a lucky lot.
So if you are reading this and are convinced that that blog entry isn't a hoax, you can make a donation. They will email you with the details of the bank account to transfer $$ to.

I thot our gahmen had promised that nobody will be deprived of treatment due to lack of money. So how come in this case, they still have to raise the money to pay the hospital bills?
provided they are seeking treatment in SG ? Anyway, I am quite sceptical about that claim.
