Had a very hearty lunch. Seldom take lor beehoon mee and so decided to give it a try. I asked for the small serving and was shocked when my bowl of lor beehoon mee came and it was this HUGE bowl! "I ordered SMALL leh" I told the guy who served me my lor beehoon mee. "Yeah. This is small" *bak chiew popped out and dropped into the googey lor beehoon mee* $2.50 for such a HUGE serving and mind you, it was also piled with ingredients! The stall sure isn't stingy with their liao! They had 2 reasonably sized chunks fried fish, few small fried wanton, many slices of the ngoh hiang. Wah! The lor was quite bland, not very nice but ok la, still very edible in my opinion. And it left me utterly STUFFED :PYup, someone once commented that I always say I need rest and I'm tired, but my stomach never needs the break -__-" good observation! :P
Inspired by the cook books, I wanted to buy some vegetables to cook for dinner tonight. So we headed to the Cold Storage and was just browsing the shelves when my sis and niece alerted me to their surprising find. The store was selling lots of the cereals at a HUGE discount. What was previously going at between $7-$12 was offered at below $4!! This is super lelong lor! We were so excited we threw a few boxes into the trolley. The expiry dates were either in Jul or Aug. But sis said such stuff can keep one lah, can eat. Yup, I'm actually still eating some cereals that were way past the expiry. :P Cereals healthy or not ? Well, I figured even if I dun snack on these I would be snacking on biscuits. So well, I suppose cereals are the lesser of the 2 evils ba? hahahaha ...
