Buy cake, dun buy cake. Aiyo, today just because of the whether to get a cake, i received so many MSN messages. Then confirm dun buy liao, people say buy. Confirm buy liao, people say dun buy. Frankly I think my time can be better spent doing more constructive things like watching the dust settle on my desk, or the water evaporates from my mug. Think its me, after I decided to wash my hand off the situation things started to move haha
Anyway, the run today was again another huge turnout. We have the honour of DreamRunner, DO, DiverRunner (Divey) came for the run. It was good to see them. The last time i met DR and DO were 2 months back I think, when they first came for the CBD run. I was sick that day and only went there to say my hi's and to buy them some bananas to refuel after the run. I met Divey in one of the CBD runs before. A really bubbly, warm and friendly young mei mei :) She recently injured herself and hence was using the CBD run as her recovery I think. Hope she gets well real soon!
As the CBD run has been growing in size, we have had many different encounters of people missing, being lagged behind etc. As Marina South Park is poorly lit at night with many hidden corners etc., many of the runners feel that the group is getting out of hand and some order has to be instilled. As such, before the run, aichai and tiwazz briefed the group about the route, dos and don'ts.
Run was normal, just pass Marina South Park, to the jetty, u-turn and take the longer route back, passing by the steamboat place. Total distance about 9.2km, total time taken 1hr 10 mins.
We then had a belated birthday celebration for Andy. Thanks to Roentgen & Sotong for coming with the cakes!!! Both cakes are realllly beautiful! Sinful of course haha. I had a good chat with DR, DO, Divey, Aichai & Taz about running shoes and DR, DO, Aichai all agreed that I should buy a new pair of shoes with good forefoot cushioning. They were really nice telling me about the shoes and what will be good for me and DO /Aichai even said that they will try to help me get at better prices. Thanks guys! U guys rock!
As usual, we then headed to Maxwell for our dinner and more chit chat before going home. Thanks teelee for driving all of us (shut, superboy, charmane, junie, taz and myself) home.
