Setting Things Straight ...

In the course of these few months, I have gone for several "ninja-runs" on my own with a few others. This seems to have incurred the wrath of many. I have received feedback about why he/she wasn't "invited", why never "jio", why ...... ??

I think it most appropriate to just blog about this to state my stand once and for all.

The reason why I never "jio" is because of the following:
  1. last minute run - I'm feeling down, I catch teelee (the ever trusty, can run anytime, anyday, anywhere cool dude) online and decided to go for a late evening (after 8pm) run near my place. Its easy for both of us coz we live closeby and he doesn't mind running at my pace.
  2. I'm a no-fuss gal - I am lousy at coordinating outings and I basically am just plain LAZY to ask around. I just decide to go at very last minute, then off I go. I don't like to have to go around asking and then people will be expecting more about the run, where to meet ah ? what pace ? where to tumpang stuff ? Hahlo, its a weekday night run, impromptu, cannot expect me to organise right? :P I'm sian, that's why i go for night runs, still want to make me more sian ??
  3. These are ninja runs, and I don't see a need to publicise these runs, let alone post in the forum. As such, you don't see me posting such runs in the forum (I wouldn't!). As it is also a tall order to expect me to jio everyone in sgrunners (short of posting in the forum), it will be likely that people will be left out if i jio some and didn't jio some others. I hence find it a lesser of the 2 sins to just not jio. So everyone is equal. That's why my policy is mostly dun jio. If people ask me where I'm going then I will willingly tell them I'm going for a run, he/she can then join if interested.
If my ninja runs in any way has upset anyone, I will hereby give a one-off, blanket apology for not inviting you. :) I hope you can understand that as much as I would love all your company, it just isn't practical to include everyone. It is also not my responsibility to keep everyone informed of runs nor is it my desire to have big group runs everytime I run. I need my space too, to run with just a small selected group of friends whom I know I can "activate" at last minute and also with people I'm comfy with, without having to "organise" the run.

Lastly, I hope that those who are unhappy they were not "jio-ed" will leave those who kindly agreed to run with me alone. I found out that these few poor souls have bore the brunt lately by people who questioned them why they were not "jio-ed". Aiyo, pls leave my poor buds alone la. If you want to blame, blame me can ? U not happy tell me lah, i treat u teh peng ok ? :)

I have to thank several people too for being understanding enough to know that it is ok not to be "jio-ed". That it is NOT about them. That they will be perfectly ok if they were not invited. Similarly, let me announce here too that if you do go for runs, pls feel free not to invite me. I will not feel upset for not being "jio-ed" and anyway, we are all adults. You are free to run with whoever you like, and entitled to your own ninja runs :)

I think there are many people who do ninja-runs (that's why the term ninja is so common in sgrunners ?), so I'm not the only one right ? :)
