CBD Run

Finally!!! We did not run the Jetty route this week (Yes yes!!!). Frankly many of us were so sick of that route, its boring and hardly scenic and many of us were asking whether we can change route. Thankfully, the organisers were receptive and switched to the Marina South Park-Sheares Bridge-Esplanade route.

As usual, we have a huge turnout of about 30+ people. I shall not attempt to list down everyone here because there are quite a number of new faces. If your name does not appear below, pls just accept that I'm old and don't have a photographic memory. So pls dun come and give me grief like "Why is my name not inside ah ?" "How can you forget me ?? :(" :P If it really irks you so much, leave a comment, I will update your name asap :P So to those whose name did not appear but was there at the CBD run, i apologise in advance *bow* LOL

Sgrunners who were at the run include : Nemo, Angelica, Balasing, Cfred, Cosmic, Roentgen, Renoh (xi1 ke4!!!), Sxuanjing, Puayhien, Tiwazz, Shut, Junie (another xi1 ke4!), Kay, Superboy, Gems, Divey, Aichai, Don, the brazilian lady working in Capital Tower (sorry, didn't catch her name), Teelee, Ronnie, IMD, SV, Charlotte, Cookie, Charmane, Zqang, Novaflux, Meteor, MightyJoe, Fennel.

The run was easy and relaxing, I didn't want to push myself so was taking it slow with Roentgen and sxuanjing. Nowadays no one stops even after hitting the Sundial at Marina South Park (wah wee, everyone getting super strong!). We went up Sheares Bridge and met Aichai at the foot of the bridge. Aichai, meteor and I then ran the distance back and as I was feeling in good form, I just subconsciously pushed a little harder and running at a faster pace, but I was still able to carry a conversation and not gasp for air :) Thanks to aichai for following my pace and helping me complete the run without really feeling like giving up and also thanks to him for giving me all the tips about what one shld do in an environment etc.

Last week CBD run was horrible. No water nor cakes. This time round, many of the folks took the initiative to buy drinks and ended up we had so many bottles of 100+!!! (Thanks to Charlotte, Teelee, FBB & Roentgen!!!). I bought 2 cakes (1 banana choc and the other choc rum & berry) from Awfully Chocolates to celebrate Charlotte's BD. Was told before that the cake is great, and Charlotte did mention about this stall, so I decided to go during lunch time to purchase these 2 cakes :P

After the birthday song singing, cake eating and jellies (cfred actually made us jellies!! WOW!! a hunk that knows how to make stuff!!!!) and tau sar piahs from Penang (thanks to Shut for being such an angel! coming back from his Penang bridge run bearing food stuff for us!!!), we headed to Maxwell for our yummy dinner. We bade our farewell after a hearty meal and as usual, our wonderful teelee drove the HSP folks back home. Thanks teelee!!

Another great run with awesome company! Thanks to all!!
