War Zone...

I'm now at war, yes, war with the flu bug. Wake up feeling sick everyday and asking myself whether today is the day I ought to see doc to take MC. But then again, not very useful to see doc when the virus hasn't fully attacked as the med given will be mild and ineffective anyway. So here i am, still at work and still hoping that the flu will not bug me .... and just surrender ....

Thanks to everyone for your advices and concern! I'm now doing everything to conquer the flu bug and thanks to all your advices I'm ....
  1. keeping myself hydrated -> keep rushing to the toilet! :P
  2. religiously taking my Vit C every morning
  3. taking flu med
  4. drinking honeyed water (not manuka though - finished it liao - should go buy it later)
  5. taking vegetables & fruits (orange, pear, guava - yup, been told this has loads of Vit C!)
  6. sleeping early (hit the sack by 9pm for the past 2 days, will continue to do that if possible)
  7. laying off running (for the past 2 days. But hope to run soon!!!)
  8. avoiding junk food (*WAILLLLL* this is the hardest part for me, a food junkie! :( )
3 more days to AHM .....

Nope, I'm not gunning for any PB (although technically, since this is my first AHM, any timing, even if it is 4 hours, will be my PB hahaha). I just want to go and enjoy myself. Start slow, pace myself (have enough control to run at MY own pace), and have sufficient energy left to complete the last few km without heaving and panting like I'm suffering a heart attack (I hate the breathlessness feeling). Most importantly is to experience the whole run, to at least know that I'm able to complete it. :)

Ok, enough nonsense. Hope to see you all on Sunday ! Must wait for me for the post AHM makan ok ?? :P
OOps, there I go again, thinking about food haha

Hi KJ! That was a GREAT run by you during the AHM today!! :P This just goes to prove how fit you are already... beating my own maiden AHM timing by more than 25 mins *faint*

Remember to rest properly over the next few days and let your body recover from the intensity of the run ok? :)
